Donuts for the losers! Donuts for some of the winners! Lauren sucks! Vince sucks! Joel sucks! Travis sucks! Steven sucks! Ryan sucks! Jason sucks! But Jerry sucks the worst!

Miranda

vs

Kelly

NPL Title Belt Match!

Kelly already clinched the banner, but who wants to give up on that phenomenal winning streak? Kelly’s win at home gives her a finish at 12-2, best record in the NPL. Miranda’s loss knocks her to 7-7 on the season, but it’s good enough for a Wild Card. KELLY WINS, 31-10

Michael

vs

Berkenbile

Michael finished hot, ending with a 6-1 record in the second half of the season to improve to 8-5, good enough to claim a Wild Card spot. Berkenbile put together three separate 3+ game winning streaks, ultimately settling in at 10-4 on the year for a Division Runner-Up Wild Card. MICHAEL WINS, 29-6

Vince

vs

Brent

Vince struggled with pick accuracy this year, snagging four Donut badges. He finished at 3-11 on the year, with two Did Not Submit weeks on the books. Brent was streaky in 2018, winning two, losing three, winning three, losing two, winning two, the splitting the last two games of the year. All told, it was good enough for an 8-6 record and a Wild Card spot. BRENT WINS, 18-0

Brandon

vs

Adam

Brandon finished hot, when it mattered most. In a tightly contested Psychic Division, Brandon won four of his last five – the final three with 8 correct picks. That performance snagged him his first Division Championship banner since 2012. Adam had a rough second half, closing out the year 2-5, to finish with a 5-9 record. BRANDON WINS, 46-12

Jerry

vs

Ricky

Jerry was really counting on a win here in the last week of the season, but ended up losing a hotly contested battle of poop with Ricky. The loss is the third in the last four games for Jerry, who finishes 7-7 and misses the playoffs. Ricky won four of the last seven on the year, but it wasn’t enough to turn around a slow start. He finishes 6-8 on the season. RICKY WINS, 9-0

Cari

vs

LeScoot

Cari gets the win here to finish 5-9 on the year, a record that is marked by a five game losing streak that really soured the season. Scott was looking pretty dominant early on, starting the year 5-2 with a Platinum Week in Week 7 to close out the first half of 2018. The second half was the Mr. Hyde to the first half’s Dr. Jekyll, where Scott won just two games. The collapse was good enough to miss the postseason. CARI WINS, 27-13

DaVena

vs

Kevin

DaVena closes out the year with a win over Kevin to improve to 11-3 on the season. She started the year with a 9-game winning streak, before losing three of her last five. She’s a Division Runner-Up, marking her first trip to the playoffs since her rookie year in 2015. Kevin finishes 5-9, after a season in which he just couldn’t get rolling – no winning streaks, despite 6 quality weeks. DAVENA WINS, 20-6

Chris

vs

Jennifer

Chris takes the crucial victory over Jennifer in the final week. This win gives him the rare honor of being a losing team in the post-season, with a 6-8 finish for 2018. This is Chris’s first appearance in the playoffs since 2013. For Jennifer, her third straight loss tanked her playoff chances. She finishes 6-8 on the year as well, losing the Pick Accuracy tiebreaker to Chris to miss out on the tourney. CHRIS WINS, 28-13

Corey

vs

Joel

Corey and Joel took different paths to the same record of 5-9, each collecting eight Quality Weeks along the way. Corey started the year losing three straight, then recovered winning three of the next four, and closed out the year with back-to-back wins, including this one over Joel. Joel started out with two straight wins, but dropped the next five games before correcting course a bit. Both teams finish in the bottom of the Oracle Division. COREY WINS, 10-0

Travis

vs

Steven

Travis possesses a misleading record of 5-9, and not in the “He was better than you think” way. Travis posted just one Quality Week (Week 2) on the year, league worst. Honestly think it may even be a record. Steven, on the other hand, started the year bitching and moaning about his 3-3 start, only to rattle off eight straight to snake the division title away from DaVena, his first banner since 2009! STEVEN WINS, 32-21

Andrew

vs

Rachel

Andrew was the Homer Simpson of the league in the first half, collecting three donuts on the way to a 2-5 record. He bounced back nicely, though, posting five Quality Weeks, including a Player of the Week performance in Week 8. Rachel, collecting the loss here, has secured another trip to the postseason, marking four appearances in four seasons. Truly impressive! ANDREW WINS, 45-18

Laci

vs

Ethan

Laci almost did something rather impressive – matched Donuts (4) with Quality Weeks (5) en route to her 6-8 finish. Laci bounced back and forth from the Win column to the Loss column all season long – aside from that one losing streak in the middle of the year that contained both a Donut and a Quality Win. Ethan was plagued by two separate losing streaks – a four gamer starting in Week 3, and a three gamer starting in Week 12. Those account for seven of his nine losses on the year, leaving him just a few games shy of a postseason appearance. LACI WINS, 26-6

Jason

vs

Ryan

Jason ended with an 11-3 record and the top accuracy in the league (shared with Kelly). He locked up the division and rested the starters, apparently. Only two correct in the final game of the season. The loss ends his second 5-game winning streak of the year, but his 2018 was good enough for a division banner, his first. Ryan played down to Jason’s level and squeaked by for a victory with just three correct. He ended his season on a pleasing (to the eye) pattern of Win-Loss-Win-Loss-Win-Loss-Win, but his 2-5 start really hurt his chances for moving on. RYAN WINS, 14-3
