After starting the year 4-2, the surprising JeStErS decided to be more predictable and proceeded to drop 6 of their last 7. They visit the Javs who welcome their guests with a ridiculous ass whoopin’. JDIII returns for the first half and puts up an Ebow-esque 19% completion before being pulled in favor of QB Joe Schwa. NPL Title Belt Match!

The Title Belt giveth and the Title Belt taketh away. Ryan snagged the Title Belt from Vince in Week 10, won the next two games to establish the Title Belt Streak, then watched the curse play out as Berkenbile – the team that started the season with the belt – reclaimed the NPL Title Belt just before season end. In overtime, BERKENBILE WINS, 35-24

Threatening a win streak for the first time all year, Michael uses their 3rd worst performance of the year to topple division rival Lauren (also going for their first win streak of the season). At one point sitting all alone as the NPL’s worst record, the Minotaurs now share a 4-way tie for that (dis)honor. MICHAEL WINS, 8-0

The LeScavengers had this game marked on their schedule. They needed rest, they needed a win, and they needed to not have injuries as they push for the playoffs. Unfortunately, the Cutthroats are in full “Don’t Give a Fuck” mode and targeted knees, ankles, and kidneys all game long. LeScoot wins, but at what cost? LeSCOOT WINS, 45-22

The Rock Lobsters go on the road and collect the W from Jerry. Both teams came into the week at 6-6 in a division that is very much still up for grabs. The win moves Ricky one game back from first, but Jerry could still claim a Wild Card at 7-7 with a win next weekend. RICKY WINS, 35-15

Brent is attempting to reclaim their rightful place on the Psychic Throne. The 5-time Psychic Division Champions start by knocking off last year’s division champs, the Cari Bous, to move one game back of the first place Adam A-Bombs with just one week to play. And guess who the BB Cannons face next? In OT, BRENT WINS 37-28

Brandon plays spoiler to the A-Bombs who were looking to raise the Psychic Division banner a second time (2014) in their long history. A win here would have clinched the title. But the Braggadocios winning puts Adam in a bind – while they are in first, there are several scenarios where they DON’T make the playoffs. The fate is in their hands. BRANDON WINS, 26-14

With Kevin having already clenched the Oracle Division, their first division banner, their games may be more about practice for postseason and resting banged up starters – including their cheerleading squad which is still recovering from the Black Friday Stampede of ’17 at Cock’s Sporting Equipment. A turning point game for the Jellyfish here. If DaVena wins, the Fish fall to 6-7 on the year and become a longshot for the playoffs. But the win here pulls Jennifer into a 4-way tie for 2nd place in the division. That’s the good news. The bad news? They play Kevin (10-3) to close out the regular season. JENNIFER WINS, 27-13

The Cannibals were eliminated from playoff contention – the 4th year in a row for Chris – but were still able to annoy the Sausages with an OT win here in Week 13. Steven falls to a 4-way tie for 2nd place but is still in a good position for the playoffs, given they don’t choke and humiliate themselves in week 14. CHRIS WINS, 43-34

Vince would have loved a victory here, but Kelly took the advantage of hosting an out of conference opponent and had a nice easy victory to keep their playoff dreams alive. Vince, falling to 7-6, is still in a pretty good spot for the playoffs. They face the last place Minotaurs next week. A win and they’re likely in. We’ll see. KELLY WINS, 26-12

Rachel clinched a playoff spot a few weeks ago and perhaps foolishly started to coast before the playoffs assuming the division title was theirs. That was before Ethan went on a 4-game winning streak to close the game to one game, including this clutch win at home. They’re now one game back of Rachel with one week to go – still anyone’s division. ETHAN WINS, 45-33

The Labeorphiles are still alive, thanks to this huge win at home over the visiting Martians. At 6-7, they need to win BIG next week against the current divisiion leader, Rachel, in order to keep their playoff hopes alive, though with four 7-6 teams in the other division also playing for those same Wild Card positions, it is not looking good. LACI WINS, 44-31

The Game of the Week took to overtime for the nth time this season, this time with Travis emerging from the blood, dust, and rubble to claim the W. The outcome moves both teams, Andrew and Travis, to 6-7 on the season – a 4-way tie for 3rd in the division. Both technically are still alive in the playoff hunt, but much like Kelly and Laci, a series of dominos need to fall for either team to get into the post-season. TRAVIS WINS, 46-29
